I love it because it's Gods house and I can visit Him anytime. A wonderful welcoming parish. Get involved and you will always be rewarded with the love and friendship of Gods family.

The Church is too large and the people do not have a strong fellowship. The priest was very difficult and seemed annoyed when I tried to talk to him on every attempt. He said to pray for those who had hurt my child. This priest is very pompous and proud of himself. He appears to run off his own clerical support so he has very little time for compassion or support for the parish. The clergy dwindled slowly upon his arrival. This was no mistake. This Church is perfect if you think you can buy your way into God's acceptance. Money appears to be this priest God. Praise the Lord and let us pray for a true leader of the faith. Love and faith through Christ. Amen.

When I moved to Myrtle Beach nearly 5 years ago, I went to mass at St. Andrew's for two weeks. After I got my internet service connected, I looked around and found St. Michael's. It's the same distance south that St. Andrew's is north. I went to mass the next two weeks at St. Michael. After one month, the decision was easy. Family friendly, loving, caring parishioners and I knew I was HOME. Been here 4 1/2 years and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. This is one AWESOME parish family.

This Catholic Church is where the "Poker Playing Priest" (Father Andrew) who won $100,000 on TV for the new church building now resides (12/25/10). Merry Christmas, and God Bless all the parishioners! 1/28/11 UPDATE: Father Andrew has accepted more responsibilities at another parish, and has moved on. However, a new priest, Father Bill Hearne (a newly ordained priest) has taken his place. He is just in time for the groundbreaking of the brand new church building that just took place. From everything I've heard, the new building will be a bigger facility, and a more beautiful place to worship God than the current simple church that was built and dedicated on July 18, 1976, and meant to be only a temporary facility.
I hope the many people who attend Mass at this church from out of state in the summer (it's near the beach), and the "snow birds" in the winter realize that if they see a "lackadaisical attitude" on the part of a certain percentage of the people attending Sunday Mass, it doesn't represent all the visitors, or the many local, regular parishioners who are very devout, friendly, and charitable. They never "chatter throughout the Consecration" as they are too deep in prayer. It is very inspirational and uplifting to see. I choose to focus on the "glass being more than half full", as I believe that it is true.Added March 14, 2017 by Brokerblogger Bill
